Welcome to PROJECT HEARTBEAT. Our mission is to “Save Lives Through Education”. We have been a Northern California leader in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation / Basic Life Support (CPR / BLS) for over a decade. Our talented staff is made up of expert Acute Care Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists in Emergency Medicine and other allied healthcare professionals with over 30 years in healthcare education.

Founded in 1996, Project Heartbeat has educated thousands of individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area, Oakland and Greater East Bay, San Jose and Southern California with great success and affordability.

We have two campuses conveniently located throughout the Bay Area, at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and at our main office in Downtown Oakland. ACLS, PALS and BLS are offered at both facilities throughout the year. At our main office, we also offer additional American Heart Association approved classes such as: Heartsaver CPR for non-health care professionals, Basic First Aid, Pediatric Basic Life Support and CPR renewal.

Our Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses are designed by the American Heart Association (AHA), and taught exclusively by Advanced Practice Nurses that specialize in Emergency Medicine. We pride ourselves on teaching clinically useful skills in an exciting, team focused, low-stress environment.

Our instructors are highly trained, energetic professionals who are dedicated to making a difference through fun yet practical classes for health care professionals and the community.

As a minority owned business, we feel we are in touch with the needs of our diverse community and at your request can teach many of our classes in languages other than English, including Spanish, Tagalog, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Russian. We also offer custom at home or at work classes personalized to suit your or your facility’s needs.

Project Heartbeat makes every effort possible to provide you a custom class catered to your convenience. In addition to classes conducted at one of our facilities, Project heartbeat can also conduct onsite group classes at your home, workplace, hospital or other healthcare facility. Please contact us to verify class time and date availability. Classes can be scheduled Monday – Saturday during the morning, afternoon, early evening, or even during an extended work lunch break. Currently, Project Heartbeat can provide the same high quality ACLS, PALS, BLS, and First Aid class throughout all of California, inclusive to the San Francisco Bay Area, Oakland and the East Bay, San Jose area, and North Bay.
