ACLS for Healthcare Providers – Online

NOTE: THIS COURSE IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FIRST TIME STUDENTS OR STUDENTS TAKING AN ACLS INITIAL CLASS. THE ONLINE COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS.

An alternative to classroom-based ACLS training, American Heart Association’s® Heartcode ACLS is a self-paced, comprehensive eLearning course. The course includes interactive patient cases that test student’s ability to apply the ACLS algorithms to effect treatment. The full course combines the web-based lessons with advanced CPR skills training.

For the healthcare team, the course offers:

• standardized ACLS instruction
• improved competency
• cost savings through less time away from the job

PART 1: Purchase an “online key” from Project Heartbeat (see below) and then complete the American Heart Association® e-learning course (completion time varies on level of comfort).

PART 2: Schedule a skills practice and skills testing through Project Heartbeat or any other certified AHA ACLS Training Center. Students must present Part 1 Certificate of Completion to complete Part 2 (approximately 20-45 minutes).

Payment/Scheduling Instructions (Please read carefully!):

• Cost for complete package (Part 1 & Part 2): $245.
• To purchase your American Heart Association® online key you must pay online via PayPal (see link below).
• You will receive an automated payment confirmation from PayPal. Please note: this is only receipt of payment. Within 1 business day, you will also receive another confirmation email from Project Heartbeat with your online key and instructions on how to proceed to the American Heart Association® e-Learning site. Please allow up to 1 business day for processing of your payment and emailing of your online key. If you make your purchase during the weekend or holiday, we will respond on the next business day. If you do not receive a confirmation email from us within 1 business day, please call us at 510-452-1100 for assistance.
• Upon completion of the AHA online course (Part 1) please call us at (510) 452-1100 to schedule your skills practice/testing (Part 2).
• An American Heart Association® ACLS Provider Course Completion Card will be issued upon successful completion of skills test and is valid for two years.
