Evaluation, Verification, and Contact Hours

Remediation

  • If a student fails the multiple choice the first time, they may retest once with an alternative exam version
  • If a student fails the skills station the first time, they may retest once with an alternative scenario
  • if a student does not pass either retests, they must register to take another course or challenge a subsequent course in order to pursue verification status

Audience /Overview

TNCC is a widely recognized premier course for hospitals and trauma centers worldwide. It empowers nurses with the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and hands-on training to provide expert care for trauma patients.

This course is designed to establish a standardized body of trauma knowledge and to improve the care of all trauma patients. This seventh edition course combines interactive learning along with scenario-based assessments to provide nurses a comprehensive learning experience.

TNCC Pre-course Online Modules Requirement

  • All students are required to complete the TNCC Provider Pre-Course Online Modules before attending class. TNCC is an intensive two day course intended for experienced Emergency Nurses. Without completing the pre-course online modules before attending class, students may have difficulty passing the skills and written exams to earn a TNCC Provider Card.
  • Instructions on accessing the modules will be in the Confirmation Email after registration/purchase is complete

  • will receive a Certificate of Attendance with 17.65 contact hours and a verification card/status if successful in written and skill station

Non-RN Healthcare Providers

  • can participate in written and skill station portion
  • will receive a Certificate of Attendance with 17.65 contact hours and receive a course completion card
  • Certificate of Attendance is different from the one provided to RN attendees

Auditors

  • cannot participate in written or skill station testing portion

Register for our Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Classes! We have classes on May 10, May 20, May 27, and more!

Audience

NRP is designed to provide healthcare professionals working with neonatal and newborn infants the ability to participate in the causes, prevention, and management of mild to severe neonatal asphyxia. This course will introduce students through an evidence-based approach to the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation.

Required Online Exam

Complete NRP Online Exam 7th Edition BEFORE attending the course by following these instructions:

  1. Visit www.healthstream.com/hlc/aap
  2. Create a new login or if you are an existing user, log back in
  3. Click on the “Catalog” tab and click on 7th Edition NRP Provider (DO NOT select the old 6th Edition, we will not accept it)
  4. There is an additional fee of $35.00 for this exam on the American Academy of Pediatricswebsite.
  5. Complete part 1 (includes Exam with 50 questions, eSim cases, and eSim evaluation) Complete all sections to receive completion status. Estimated time (4.5 hours)
  6. After completing the online exam, you have 30 days to take the NRP course.
  7. You will need to reference the 2015 NRP Textbook (7th Edition) as you take the online exam.
  8. Part 2 is the Instructor-Led Event (Hands-on Session) which is the session appointment you purchase with Project Heartbeat

Audience/Overview
