BLS for Healthcare Providers – Online

The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (HCP) Online offers a flexible training option for busy healthcare professionals. Students first complete online lessons through a series of self-paced modules. Students answer short multiple-choice questions within case-based scenarios, and receive feedback based on their answers to proceed through 10 critical checkpoints. To reinforce the CPR sequences taught in the course, students can access 21 optional review sections, including 17 videos from the BLS Healthcare Providers classroom video.

PART 1: Purchase an “online key” from Project Heartbeat (see below) and then complete the American Heart Association® e-learning course (approximately 30-90 minutes).

PART 2: Schedule a skills practice and skills testing through Project Heartbeat or any other certified AHA BLS Instructor. Students must present Part 1 Certificate of Completion to complete Part 2 (approximately 20-45 minutes).

Payment/Scheduling Instructions (Please read carefully!):

• Cost for complete package (Part 1 & Part 2): $60.
• To purchase your American Heart Association® online key you must pay online via PayPal (see link below).
• You will receive an automated payment confirmation from PayPal. Within 1 business day, you will also receive a confirmation email from Project Heartbeat with your online key and instructions on how to proceed to the American Heart Association® e-Learning site. Please allow up to 1 business day for processing of your payment and emailing of your online key. If you make your purchase during the weekend or holiday, we will respond on the next business day. If you do not receive a confirmation email from us within 1 business day, please call us at 510-452-1100 for assistance.
• Upon completion of the AHA online course (Part 1) please call us at (510) 452-1100 to schedule your skills practice/testing (Part 2).
• An American Heart Association® BLS Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of skills test and is accepted by all California hospitals and healthcare facilities.
