Upon registration, please be ready to input your “Cost Center” number of your department and your Nursing License number. These will be necessary to verify your employment at ABMC and SMC. Furthermore, use promo code “ALTA BATES” to ensure accurate tracking and verification of your employment. Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an email with course confirmation, location, date, time, and detailed instructions for course preparation, i.e. pre test.
Upon arrival, please bring the following items to class:
- Medical Center Identification badge(Must present badge on day of class or you will not receive course completion card)
- Current certification (not expired)
- American Heart Association Textbook
- Pre course exam results
Alta Bates Contractual discount is only valid for verified Registered Nurses working as staff nurses. Technicians, Therapists, Managers, Doctors and non-nurse staff are not covered by the contractual agreement and are subject to the the full course costs despite use of the promo code. Proof of identity and job classification will be checked prior to class.
Your certification card and CE credits will be issued to you immediately upon successful completion of your course. American Heart Association ACLS Certification for healthcare providers includes management of Bradycardia, Tachycardia, and Pulseless arrest using 2020 AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support guidelines as well as Stroke and Heart Attack, ACS.

The BLS for Healthcare Providers – Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Most healthcare providers are required to take this course.
Must have current/non-expired BLS Provider Card to take this re-certification course. Expired card holders and new beginners must sign up for the BLS initial certification.

The PALS Course is designed to provide healthcare providers a refresher on their ability to respond to emergencies for infants and children. Providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the child victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. PALS is based on simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through individual and team learning stations.
Must have a current/non-expired PALS card otherwise you will not be admitted into class.
