Compression Issues?
Remember these five points:
1. Hand position: Two hands centered on the chest 2. Body position: Shoulders directly over hands; elbows locked. Please use the step stool for a better position if necessary. 3. Compression depth: At least 2 inches 4. Rate of compressions: 100 to 120 per minute 5. Allow chest to return to normal position after each compression

Manikin Won't Ventilate?
The most common problem with the ventilations can be fixed by the following:
1. Stand at the head of the manikin
2. Proper mask seal
3. Proper head tilt and chin lift
4. Practice before starting the lesson. When done properly you will be able to see the chest rise.

Child Ventilation Problems
The most common problem with child ventilations is solved by using the adult manikin. Adult and child skills are performed on the adult manikin, not the infant manikin.
