PALS Renewal Certification – In-Person Classroom Course

The In-Person PALS Renewal course is a focused, instructor-led review for healthcare providers who currently hold an active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider certification. This course follows the American Heart Association’s approved classroom curriculum and reinforces pediatric assessment, respiratory management, shock recognition, and effective team-based resuscitation.

The renewal format is fast-paced and designed to refresh core PALS skills through hands-on practice and pediatric megacode scenarios.

Upon successful completion, students receive an official AHA PALS Provider eCard.

The Renewal course reviews all essential PALS concepts with an emphasis on efficient decision-making, pediatric assessment, and coordinated team response using the AHA-approved classroom curriculum.

All students complete both the PALS written exam and a hands-on pediatric megacode evaluation as part of certification renewal.

Pre-Course Assessment (AHA Requirement)

The American Heart Association requires completion of a free pre-course assessment prior to attending in-person PALS Renewal. Certification

• Official AHA PALS Provider eCard issued upon successful completion
• Certification is valid for two years
• Widely accepted by hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, EMS agencies, and other healthcare employers

Textbook Requirement

• Students are required to have the AHA-approved PALS Provider Manual used for the current classroom curriculum. If you already own the textbook, you may bring it with you. Otherwise, it may be purchased during registration.
