In-Person ACLS Certification Classes (Instructor-Led Training)

American Heart Association (AHA) Approved Classroom Curriculum

In-Person ACLS training is the traditional, instructor-led format for healthcare providers who want hands-on guidance, real-time feedback, and scenario-based megacode practice. This pathway follows the American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Provider curriculum, including updated algorithms, airway guidance, and team-based resuscitation concepts.

ACLS Initial – $310

For first-time students or expired ACLS certifications

For first-time ACLS students or providers whose certification expired. This full-length course includes algorithm instruction, rhythm review, airway practice, megacode scenarios, and the ACLS written exam.

  • Required written exam & skills evaluation

ACLS Renewal – $215

For students with a current ACLS card

Designed for providers with a current ACLS card. This fast-paced review focuses on clinical decision-making, teamwork, and the current AHA ACLS algorithms for bradycardia, tachycardia, respiratory management, and opioid-associated emergencies.

Includes:

  • Fast-paced instructor-led ACLS review
  • Megacode and clinical decision-making practice
  • Written exam & skills testing
  • AHA ACLS Provider eCard (valid 2 years)

Your training includes all components of the AHA-approved ACLS Provider curriculum, including:

Frequently Asked Questions (In-Person ACLS)

The ACLS Initial course is typically taught as 14 hours over 2 days or as one 12-hour accelerated day, depending on the schedule. The ACLS Renewal course is 7 hours in a single day. All course durations are based on a standard ratio of 1 instructor to 8 students with 2 manikins, and include time for breaks and lunch.

Yes. All students must complete the AHA ACLS Pre-course Self-Assessment before attending the in-person class. A passing score is needed to participate in megacode testing.  The assessment can be found here: https://elearning.heart.org/course/423

 

Yes. All ACLS Initial and Renewal courses include:

  • A multiple-choice written exam
  • A hands-on megacode skills evaluation

Both must be passed to receive your ACLS Provider eCard.

If your ACLS card is expired you must enroll in the ACLS Initial course to ensure adequate review and practice.

Yes. The AHA-approved ACLS Provider Manual is required. Students may purchase it during registration if they do not already have one.
