What to Expect at a CPR Verification Station

Our CPR Verification Stations make the skills portion of HeartCode BLS simple, fast, and self-directed. Stations are self-guided. An instructor is not physically present, but remote support is available during business hours.  Each station is equipped with a voice-guided manikin that gives real-time feedback on:

  • Compression depth and recoil
  • Compression rate
  • Ventilations
  • Hand placement
  • Overall CPR performance

You’ll complete your skills check privately and at your own pace.  Most students finish within 30–60 minutes.

What You’ll Do at the Station

  • Log into the manikin tablet
  • Follow the guided checklist
  • Perform the BLS skills scenarios
  • Repeat as needed until you achieve passing scores
  • Submit your attempt to complete your skills check

Once completed, your results sync automatically and your AHA BLS Provider eCard is issued after both course parts are complete.

Please note CPR is a physical skill. Do not attempt a session if you are injured, medically unfit, or feel unwell. If you become exhausted, lightheaded, or unable to continue during practice, stop immediately and reschedule your appointment. Project Heartbeat is not liable for injuries that may occur during your skills practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

The CPR Verification Stations use high-fidelity manikins designed to simulate real human chest resistance and provide precise, sensor-based feedback. Because the system measures your performance objectively — not visually — CPR can feel more physically demanding than in a traditional class. This is normal and ensures you meet the AHA standard for real-world high-quality CPR.
For a deeper explanation, see our full guide on station manikins.

Most students finish in 1–2 hours, depending on experience level.
Links are issued automatically after registration, but may take several hours to arrive.

You do not need to bring any materials or equipment — everything required for the skills check is provided at the station.

We do recommend that you bring:

  • Your mobile phone, in case you need to contact support during your session
  • Your entry instructions, including the door code and room number
