Accelerated EMT Certification: 2.5-Week EMT-B Training

Accelerated EMT Training for Fast-Track Students

Project Heartbeat’s Accelerated EMT Program is designed for students who need to complete EMT-B training in the shortest possible timeframe without compromising quality or compliance. This intensive, full-day program prepares students for California EMT certification and the National Registry EMT (NREMT) exam through focused instruction, hands-on skills training, and real-world emergency scenarios.

This program follows all California Title 22 training requirements and is ideal for motivated students who can commit to a fast-paced schedule.

What the Accelerated EMT Program Covers

The accelerated format delivers the same core EMT competencies as longer programs, condensed into an intensive training experience. Students complete required coursework, skills labs, and evaluations needed for EMT-B certification eligibility.

Training includes:

  • EMS systems, roles, and responsibilities
  • Patient assessment and vital signs
  • Medical emergencies and pharmacology basics
  • Trauma assessment and bleeding control
  • Airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilation
  • CPR/AED and cardiac arrest response
  • Lifting, moving, and patient transport
  • Scenario-based skills testing and evaluations

All instruction is aligned with state and national EMT standards.

Is the Accelerated EMT Program Right for You?

The accelerated EMT program is demanding and moves quickly. Students should be prepared for full-day instruction, independent study, and minimal downtime between lessons.

This program is best for:

  • Pre-med students
  • Out-of-state or relocating students
  • Career changers seeking the fastest EMT pathway
  • Healthcare students with strong time-management skills

This program may not be ideal for:

  • Students needing part-time or evening schedules
  • Those seeking extended review or slower pacing

Program Schedule & Attendance Requirements

For students seeking a more flexible timeline, our 5-week EMT program is offered year-round.

The accelerated EMT training program spans 18 consecutive days. Due to national regulatory requirements, missing more than one day of instruction will result in a failing grade, regardless of reason. Full attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
