Project Heartbeat is proud to offer merit-based Vocational Nursing (LVN) scholarships for students applying to our Fall 2026 inaugural LVN cohort at our Oakland campus.

With nearly 30 years of experience training healthcare professionals across Northern California, we are committed to making quality nursing education accessible while maintaining rigorous academic and clinical standards.

Qualified applicants may be eligible for up to $10,000 per student in merit-based scholarship support, applied toward total program tuition.


About the Vocational Nursing (LVN) Program

Project Heartbeat’s Vocational Nursing (LVN) Program is a 47-week, full-time training program designed to prepare students for licensure and practice as Licensed Vocational Nurses in California.

Program highlights include:

  • Over 1,530 hours of combined classroom, lab, and clinical training
  • Supervised clinical rotations in long-term care, skilled nursing facilities, and hospital settings
  • Comprehensive NCLEX-PN exam preparation
  • Small cohort size with individualized faculty support
  • Instruction from experienced nursing educators and clinicians

To support our inaugural cohort, Project Heartbeat is offering tiered, merit-based scholarships for qualified LVN applicants.

Scholarships are designed to recognize applicants who demonstrate commitment to the nursing profession, academic readiness, professionalism, and alignment with Project Heartbeat’s mission.


Scholarship Tiers & Submission Windows

Scholarship consideration follows a tiered structure based on timing and application strength.

Tier 1 – Early Commitment Award

  • Award Amount: Up to $10,000
  • Submission Deadline: May 4, 2026
  • Purpose: Rewards early, well-prepared applicants who demonstrate strong commitment and readiness

Tier 2 – Standard Submission Award

  • Award Amount: Up to $8,000
  • Submission Deadline: June 8, 2026
  • Purpose: Supports applicants who submit complete applications within the standard review window

Tier 3 – Final Submission Award

  • Award Amount: Up to $6,000
  • Submission Deadline: July 6, 2026
  • Purpose: Provides assistance to qualified applicants submitting near the final deadline

Early submission is strongly encouraged to be considered for higher scholarship tiers.


Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for scholarship consideration, applicants must:

  • Be applying to or accepted into Project Heartbeat’s Vocational Nursing (LVN) Program
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to pursuing licensure as an LVN
  • Meet all program admission requirements
  • Complete the required admissions steps outlined below

Scholarship applications are not accepted independently.

Before submitting a scholarship consideration request, applicants must:

  1. Submit a complete Vocational Nursing Program application
  2. Pay the non-refundable application fee, which covers administrative processing
  3. Successfully complete the initial admissions pre-screen
