Welcome Alameda Health System employees. We are pleased to offer you a convenient method to renew your American Heart Association ACLS/BLS/PALS certificates.
Verification of employment with Alameda Health System will be necessary and your registration in the class may be cancelled if not verified. Furthermore, use promo code “AHSBLS “for BLS renewal classes and ”AHSACLS” for ACLS Renewals and “AHSPALS” for PALS Renewal to qualify for discounted contracted pricing. Pending accurate verification of your employment and completion of your training, you can submit your receipt for reimbursement from manager/supervisor. Reimbursement will be issued based on the discounted rate unless otherwise proven.
Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an email with course confirmation, location, date, time, and detailed instructions for course preparation, i.e. pre test.
Please note that there is a 33% reschedule/cancellation fee if you do not cancel/reschedule at least 7 days prior to your course date. No-shows will also be charged a 33% cancellation fee
Upon arrival, please bring the following items to class:
- Medical Center Identification badge (Must present badge on day of class or you will not receive course completion card)
- Current certification (not expired)
- American Heart Association loaner textbook will be available for you on day of class. (If you opt to purchase your own textbook, AHS will not reimburse cost of textbook)
- Pre course exam results. (ACLS and PALS only)
Your certification Ecard, CE credits, and instructions to redeem your Ecard will be issued to you immediately upon successful completion of your course. Upcoming ACLS Renewal Courses:
The BLS for Healthcare Providers – Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Most healthcare providers are required to take this course.
Must have current/non-expired BLS Provider Card to take this BLS renewal certification course. Expired card holders and new beginners must sign up for the BLS initial certification.
Upcoming BLS Renewal Courses:
The PALS Course is designed to provide healthcare providers a refresher on their ability to respond to emergencies for infants and children. Providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the child victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. PALS is based on simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through individual and team learning stations.
Must have a current/non-expired PALS card otherwise you will not be admitted into class.
