Why Choose Project Heartbeat for AHA Certifications?

Project Heartbeat has 29 years of experience in healthcare education. We are constantly evolving to best serve our students and community. With the new technology from the American Heart Association that allows for BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification without an instructor, Project Heartbeat is offering this new roaming service to make certification and renewal easier than ever!

We will deliver a CPR Verification Station™ directly to your facility allowing your staff to complete their AHA BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification on their own schedule with no class times nor off-site trips.

If your staff certifications lapse, you’re the one on the hook. Getting 20+ healthcare professionals to an off-site training class, without disrupting patient care, is a scheduling nightmare. There’s a better way.

With a CPR Verification Station™ at your workplace, school, hospital, dental office, surgery center, fire station, or other healthcare facility, your employees can complete the in-person skills component of the new American Heart Association HeartCode® Complete coursework at their workplace and on their own schedule.

Project Heartbeat is proud to offer a CPR Verification Station™ roaming service—the cutting edge of AHA CPR course completion—to ease the burden of certification and recertification on employees and employers. Get back to focusing on what matters most: quality patient care.

Why it works:

Built for busy clinical environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

The station supports American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification and recertification.

No.The station operates autonomously; no Project Heartbeat staff need to be present in your clinical space. The AHA’s HeartCode® technology guides staff through the skills session independently.

There are four steps:

(1) You submit a request and we confirm logistics

(2) Each staff member completes the HeartCode® online coursework on any device, on their own time

(3) We deliver and set up the station at your facility

(4) Once all staff are done, we retrieve the station and AHA eCards are issued automatically

The minimum is 10 staff members to certify.

At the moment, the roaming service is only available in the greater San Fransisco Bay Area (California).

There are two options are available: each staff member can pay individually, or the facility can pay in bulk via invoice after the visit.

The cost of certifications is the same as listed on our Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Life Support pages.

Delivery of the station to your facility is free.

We will schedule you for a minimum of 1 week. Depending on the number of certifications you request, we can leave the station at your facility for several weeks longer. During the scheduling process we will confirm how long the station will stay in your facility.

Before completing the in-person skills session, each staff member must finish the HeartCode® online coursework, which can be done on any device at any time. Project Heartbeat sends each person a HeartCode® link after scheduling is confirmed.

Staff receive the same official 2-year AHA eCard issued for traditional classroom training. There are no asterisks or limitations on the certification.

Any workplace with 10 or more staff needing AHA certification, including hospitals, dental offices, surgery centers, fire stations, schools, and other healthcare facilities. Submit a request form if you are unsure this service will work for your facility; we will help you figure it out!

No problem! There’s an option on the request form to indicate you’re not sure, and Project Heartbeat will help you figure it out.

A representative of Project Heartbeat will contact you to schedule the delivery of the roaming station to your facility and clarify any questions from your form.
