HeartCode and Heartsaver Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that schedules can change. The following cancellation and refund policy applies to Project Heartbeat HeartCode, Heartsaver Direct, and skills-only registrations.

Other Project Heartbeat Programs

This policy does not apply to programs or courses that have their own enrollment agreements or cancellation terms, including programs such as EMT, Vocational Nursing, and certain instructor-led or specialty courses. Where separate cancellation, withdrawal, or refund terms are provided during enrollment, those program-specific terms will apply.

Skills-Only Registrations

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment and missed appointments are nonrefundable.

HeartCode Complete and Heartsaver Direct Registrations

HeartCode Complete and Heartsaver Direct registrations include an American Heart Association online course and a hands-on skills session.

If the online course has not yet been activated, cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled skills appointment are eligible for a full refund.

Once the online course has been activated, the online course portion of the registration is nonrefundable. For cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled skills appointment, any eligible refund will be limited to the skills-session portion of the registration.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled skills appointment and missed appointments are nonrefundable.

Rescheduling

Registrations may be rescheduled subject to availability. Rescheduling does not reset or change the refund eligibility of an activated online course.

Project Heartbeat Cancellations

If Project Heartbeat must cancel or is unable to provide a scheduled skills session, students may reschedule at no additional charge. If a refund is requested, any activated online course remains nonrefundable and the applicable skills-session portion will be refunded.
